Delta Updates Commercial TECK Flushometer Valve

Delta is excited to share recent improvements made to the TECK Flushometer Valves. For applicable products manufactured after February 2nd, 2024:

Design Improvements:

• Valve body streamlined

  • Enhanced cleanability

  • Removes potential leak point

  • No new repair parts associated with this change

• Tail connection improved

  • Previously tapered thread now a straight thread with positive stop and O-ring seal

  • Tail adjustment range increased to 4.75” +/- 1/2”

  • Tail has left-hand thread at valve body to prevent loosening and includes new O-ring seal (O-rings are pre-greased)

  • Tail can be removed with a 13/16” hex socket drive

  • Tail must be installed at 45 +/- 5 ft-lbs

  • Union nut has been slightly modified and is backwards compatible

  • New repair parts - new tail will only fit new valve bodies (manufactured after February 2nd, 2024)

• Diaphragm assembly changed

  • New diaphragm assembly repair parts

  • Chloramine resistant diaphragm has not changed

Affected Product Series:

• 81T Exposed Manual FVs

• 81T Exposed Electronic FVs including MMO, WMS, and Solar Power options

• 83T Concealed Manual FVs

• 1600T6 Concealed Electronic FVs

There are no changes to finished SKU numbers. Existing installs of this series will continue to be supported with repair parts. New diaphragm assembles are backwards compatible, however new tail is NOT backwards compatible (thus, old repair parts will continue to be active). Product pricing will remain the same as existing SKUs.
